At Last

Evan and I were so excited to take a trip with Mommy, Grandma, and Pa Emma to see Uncle Brian, Aunt Bailey, and most importantly our cousin Corbin. Let’s face it once you have kids the adults get put on the back burner! What made the trip even more exciting is that Pa and Grandma came to pick us up in a van. That’s not all…. about 3 hours into the trip Mommy showed us that the van had a movie player in it. Grandma had brought our favorite movies from home to watch. That really helped the trip go a little faster. We were really good in the car, but no matter how old we get that last hour or so is really hard to wait to get there. We had a few stops for gas, and bathroom, and a couple times to eat. Finally we pulled into the driveway and couldn’t wait to get inside to visit. We spent lots of time catching up and talking and lots of time playing with Corbin. He really liked watching Evan and I’s every move. He even gave us hugs and kisses. One day while we were there we even got to babysit for Corbin while Aunt Bailey got her hair cut. We had a lot of fun crawling around with him on the floor and checking out his baby toys. When we weren’t at their house playing with Corbin we got to check out some of the fun things to do. Downtown Chattanooga has an awesome museum with lots of fun things to do. While Evan and I played Corbin mostly rode around in his stroller watching all of the kids and people and just taking it all in. We can’t wait to teach him all sorts of fun things that boys can do, we just have to wait a little bit longer. I think I heard Mommy say something to Uncle Brian at the restaurant we ate at afterwards that if he kept teaching us things to do, she would make sure Corbin learned them later. I’m not sure exactly what that means, but I know we sure do love our Cousin Corbin. We also got to go to a park with Corbin one day. It was really hot outside that day and we got to put our shorts on one last time and we even got really sweaty while we were playing. It was a really nice park with lots of things to play on and we even found another boy there named Evan who played with us a little bit. All too soon our trip came to an end and it was time to head back home on Sunday. We had a great time and at first we really didn’t want to go home. We knew Daddy was at home waiting to see us though, so we gave lots of hugs and headed on our way. Again we watched a lot of movies and got out for pit stops on the way. We sure can’t wait for the next few weeks to fly by because we get to see Corbin again for Thanksgiving! This time he is going to come and spend the night at Grandma and Pa’s so all we have to do is drive a couple minutes to see him thank goodness.
