Double Dippers
May 26, 2012
Normally double dipping is a bad thing, but today we got to go swimming 2 times and that was a VERY good thing! For our first swim we headed to our Cousins Diana and Kevin’s house. They have a very nice back yard with an amazing swimming pool. Not only did we get to go swimming, but we celebrated Evan’s birthday again with the Hensley family and we also celebrated Aunt Janet’s 70th birthday too. We had a lot of really good food, great cake and ice cream, and a lot of fun in the pool with our cousins.

If You Know Me
May 21, 2012
If you know me you know I could stay outside all day and long into the evening. It’s my favorite place to be now that it’s warm out. I can go for my sand table, a walk in the stroller, a bike ride, playing in the pool, picking up sticks, watering Mommy’s flowers, swimming, playing at the park and water park, and last but not least sitting outside in our Buzz and Woody chairs. If you want to have some fun come outside with me.

Hot Hot Hot
May 20, 2012
The last few days have been pretty hot so to beat the heat we’ve been outside in lots of water. We have our pool at home done and Evan and I took a little dip in there. It was a little too chilly in that pool so we got a new little kiddie pool and got some cold and warm water mixed in it and that was just right for a couple hours of fun. Daddy even got us two boats to race in there. You might think that was enough water fun, but after all the fun at home we headed to Baker Park in New Castle to play in their water park with Lynley and Myla. We had a really great time and we slept VERY well last night.

Mother’s Day 2012 by Mom
May 16, 2012
One of the best things that happened this Mother’s Day is I got this wonderful picture of my boys with me. I can’t believe how much they have grown and changed, just like my love for them. The amount of love a mother has for her child is immense from the time they are tiny newborns relying on us for their every need. As my boys have grown, I feel that my love grows for them each day. As they are continuously learning I am continuously also learning how to be the best mom that I can be for them. It’s a steep learning curve we have with all the changes children go through at each different age and stage. I couldn’t be more proud to be the mom of these two wonderful boys. I can’t wait to watch them continue to grow and change and I know at the same time my love for them will continue to grow and change as well.

Here’s my favorite blooper pic:

Kooka
May 14, 2012
Bet you’re wondering what in the world the title Kooka means. Well Kooka is now a part of our family, he’s our new fish! He is my new best friend. I talk to him, feed him and tell him goodnight every night. I check on him first thing in the morning when I get up and make sure the light goes on in his tank. He’s a blue and red fish with a big fin that swishes in the water when he moves. I got to get him by getting 30 stickers on my sticker chart. I get stickers when I listen and help at home. It took me quite a while to save up that many stickers, but Friday night I finally got the last one so Saturday the four of us made a trip to Pet Smart to pick out Kooka. I wanted to name my fish Mommy, Daddy, Evan, or Lynley, but Mommy said we needed a new name and that’s why I came up with the name Kooka. I can’t wait until people come to our house to get to meet him. Tomorrow I’m excited to get up and find Grandma Emma here so she can see him.

This is the second year that we have gotten to go to Mommy’s school and see her little baby chicks. We went once when there were no chicks to check on the incubators and eggs. We saw all the eggs getting moved out of their turners and put on the towel where they hatch. It takes a lot of waiting for baby chicks to hatch! On the day that it was finally time for them to hatch Evan and I were at our school so when they started hatching Mommy called Grandma and she picked us up and took us to the school to see them. Pawpaw even got to go too. I was really excited to get to hold one and visit with Mommy’s kids. Evan wasn’t quite sure what to think so he just went over to the carpet, got some toys out and played by himself. Before the kids went home that day, I got to sing one of my favorite songs with them. It’s count to 100 Everyday and you sing, count, and exercise with the song. I think Mommy’s class was really impressed I knew all the motions just like they do. After we got done singing I helped Mommy take her kids to the buses and made sure to tell them to get on the bus because the buses were waiting to take them home. After we went back in we got to hold some more of the chicks and play a few minutes.
One time for visiting chicks is certainly not enough so we went back another time and took Lynley there with us. She had a good time holding one chick until it pooped on her hand. She was a pro about it though because she just washed her hands and held another one right afterwards. If you’ve never gotten to hold a baby chick you really should come visit next year when Mommy has them again.

Three Cheers

Lots of people really can’t believe that I’m 3! Time flies when you have fun with your family. I have had a lot of fun celebrating my birthday. The more cake the better and I’ve already had 2 of them! My favorite part of my party is blowing out the fire on my cake. We had a little party at Grandma and Papaw’s house to celebrate my birthday and Pawpa’s 60th birthday. I got my first baseball bat there. I get to play t-ball over there now.
Then this week we had another party at Granny’s house. We had KFC and of course another cake. What’s a party without a cake I wonder? I had fun playing with my cousins and showing off for everyone. Thanks so much for the fun and presents. I have a lot of people who care about me. I’ll be back to tell you about another birthday party soon because in a couple of weeks we’re having another celebration.

Back on Vacation
May 7, 2012
Lets pretend for just a minute that we are back on our vacation. Everyone in the family who went says they are ready to go again A LOT. Since we can’t go back just yet, we’ll let Evan tell you and show you his favorite parts of the trip.
Riding the train with Daddy at The Track

Our Cabin: Every time we would pull up to our cabin I would say “we’re back”. Now when I see pictures of it, I tell Mommy that it’s Granny’s house. I think I’m mostly just wishing that were Granny’s house so we could go back whenever we wanted!

Walking: That’s right no stroller for me anymore.

Happy Birthday Evan
April 27, 2012

Evan the day that this picture was taken you made our family complete. You made your Mommy and Daddy the proud parents of their second baby boy and you found a big brother ready to greet you with a smile the first time you met. This day will forever be one of the best days of the Filler Four. Happy Birthday Evan Matthew we can’t believe you’re now 3 years old.
